Hi, have a pair of old dot matrix printers that Epson stopped updating drivers for years ago.

They are DFX5000 & DFX5000+ They print about an 8" gap between pages regardless of print settings.

I have a DFX8000 too which I am using a generic print driver (text only) and it works ok but the other two being slightly different don't want to play. I believe its the originating application codes that is a causing the throw but if I can get a best fit driver other than generic text I may get lucky.

Doubt the cavalry are around the corner but any help be much appreciated.

Are these all running on a Windows 2008 server? If so, does a Windows printer test page look OK or does this have a gap too? If so then it's probably not the application causing it but more likely the driver. What application are you having problems with?
