I have Windows 2008 R2 Standard with SQL 2008 Standard and am halfway through an in-place upgrade of Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 SP2 to SharePoint Foundation 2010. After the upgrade took place the Configuration Wizard fails with this error:
Quote:
The following SQL server(s) are running unsupported version:
<servername>
SharePoint requires these SQL server(s) to be upgraded to minimum supported version before you can continue. Refer to the log file of this configuration wizard for more information about the minimum supported versions and download instructions.
I chose to setup a server farm with SQL 2008 Standard because the database was too big for SQL Express. I installed SQL 2008 Service Pack 2 but this still isn't enough to meet the minimum requirements.
