when i came into work today i found that outlook was offline for everybody and it was because the exchange store wasn't mounted. when i try to mount it i get an error that says:

Exchange is unable to mount the database that you specified. Specified database: Server1\First Storage Group\Mailbox Database; Error code: MapiExceptionCallFailed: Unable to mount database. (hr=0x80004005, ec=-530)

i have exchange 2007 on sbs 2008. anyone know what to do?

Have a look at using eseutil to check the integrity of the database and repair it if necessary. Just run "eseutil" from the command prompt and it will show the available commands.

I would make a copy of the First Storage Group folder first, just incase.

Did you have a power outage or something that could have caused the database to corrupt?

the integrity check said all was ok so i tried a repair but it came up with a jet error saying there was a bad signature in one of the log files but didn't say which one. it still won't mount. what else shall i try?

It sounds like there is a problem with the logs not being consistent with the database. If a repair doesn't work, and you can afford to lose the mail that has come in since it stopped working, you can just delete the log files and run another repair.
