What is SM Bus Controller? I have installed Windows 2008 SBS and all the drivers are picked up apart from this one and I don't know what it is.

Thanks
Moleman

It's part of the Intel Chipset - you should have the drivers on the CD that came with your motherboard.

"The SMBus Controller (or system bus controller) is part of the Intel chipset. It monitors your system board's temperature and voltage. Programs that read your hardware sensors need the controller." So, this is NOT part of your sound, and installing sound card drivers will not fix this. Installing the proper motherboard chipset drivers WILL fix this. You would either get the chipset drivers from the motherboard cd, or by visiting the website of the motherboard manufacturer and downloading the chipset drivers, or alternately visiting the website of the computer manufacturer and downloading the chipset drivers for your model computer.
