How do I enable remote connections on an SQL 2008 R2 server? I don't seem to have the Surface Area Configuration tool any more.

Hi. Sorry for the delayed response. This is quite easy:

Open the SQL Server Configuration Manager. Expand the SQL Server Network Configuration node and select Protocols for MSSQLServer. On the right-hand pane right-click TCP/IP and select Enable.
