Hello.

On some of my Windows 7 clients I am getting an error when trying to logon. It says: "The group policy client service failed the logon. Access is denied".

This has just started happening on random PCs. I have some Windows 2003 DCs and some Windows 2008 DCs. Nothing has changed to group policies that could cause this.

Thank you.

Is there anything useful in Event Viewer? Does it only do this for one user on the PC or anybody that tries to log on?

What if you drop the PC out of the domain (back into workgroup), reboot, and then join it to the domain again?
