The site collection could not be restored

I have exported my SharePoint 2010 site to a file and while trying to import it on another server for disaster recovery I keep getting this error message:

sure the content databases are available and have sufficient free space.

There is plenty of disk space available (more than 4 times the size of the database). It's already been imported before so should just work really. Any advice appreciated.

Hi RiaZ.

I've seen this error generated when the server is low on physical memory, not disk space. Use Task Manager to check what is being used, and maybe restart the server to free up memory.

How big is the SQL database for this SharePoint site and what are the server specs?

The server is virtual (running on VMware ESXi 4.0) and has 4GB RAM. The SharePoint SQL database is about 5GB in size. I look in Task Manager and there's not much in the way of free resources, so I'll allocate another 4GB RAM and try again.
