Hello there.

I have a server running Small Business Server 2008 and would like to start using the Remote Web Workplace (RWW) to let my staff connect in remotely to work. While testing it myself first I was able to login through https://mail.mydomain.com/remote and then click Connect to a Computer. It goes all the way through but after logging in I get this error message:



As far as I can tell the wizards created and installed the certificate for me. Or does this mean I need to install it on the workstation?

Hi.

This is probably because the certificate doesn't match the hostname you're connecting to. By default, SBS will create a self-signed certificate for remote.domain.com but you're connecting to mail.domain.com - try setting up a DNS record for remote.domain.com and using that instead.

If not, you may need to buy an SSL certificate from a trusted source to replace the self-signed one.

Dave is right, but you will probably also need to install the certificate - on the server look in C:\Users\Public\Public Downloads and run the certificate installer on the station you're using to connect.

Thanks to both of you, as I needed to do both things to make it work. Now it works without error.
