Hello,

I've one implemented Active Directory in a Windows 2008 32 Bits machine. Now I've bought a new Dell server with Windows 2008 running in 64 bit.
My goal is make this brand now server as the operations master in my domain and retire this old server, until now I've setup the new server as a second Global catalog and everything appeard to be fine.

and now? what else I need to do to migrate everything to this new server?

thanks,

Ricardo

Hi.

You can do this through Active Directory Users and Computers - right click on the domain then choose Operations Masters. Here you can assign the various roles to the new server. Then use DCPROMO to remove the old server from the domain.
