Windows cannot install required files - Error 0x8007045D

I am new to Windows 2008 and am installing it for the first time. I have got as far as expanding files but it fails on about 55% with this error:

I can only click OK and it goes back to the beginning.

Take a look at this link, it may help. It refers to upgrading the firmware of your DVD drive.

Failing that, quickly Googling the error message suggests that it may be a faulty DVD if you burned it from an ISO image. Try burning it again.

Well there was no way I was going to play with the firmware of my DVD drive, it would never work again

I burned a new DVD and it worked. This time the ISO was local as opposed to on a network share. Maybe that was what caused the problem.
